We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Kitchen Attendant to join our busy kitchen team at The Coach in Ringwood. Our venues include bistros, sports bars, function spaces and gaming areas, each focused on delivering great hospitality experiences within their local communities. What You’ll Be DoingAssisting with basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling and portioning ingredientWashing, sanitising and organising kitchen equipment, utensils and work areasMaintaining high standards of cleanliness through daily and deep cleaning tasksSupporting chefs with kitchen operations and following instructions from senior kitchen staffPractising safe food handling and food preparation techniquesManaging rubbish disposal and maintaining a clean and organised work environmentRestocking fridges and ensuring kitchen supplies are readily availableIdentifying and reporting any safety hazards or compliance concerns What We’re Looking ForBasic understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesPrevious experience in a large bistro, commercial kitchen, or high-volume hospitality environment advantageousAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks effectivelyPositive attitude and willingness to learnDo Food Safely Certificate, or willingness to obtain A Role That Keeps You MovingThis is a fast-paced, hands-on hospitality leadership role. About Us

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling and portioning ingredient
  • Washing, sanitising and organising kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness through daily and deep cleaning tasks
  • Supporting chefs with kitchen operations and following instructions from senior kitchen staff
  • Practising safe food handling and food preparation techniques
  • Managing rubbish disposal and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Restocking fridges and ensuring kitchen supplies are readily available
  • Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or compliance concerns

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Previous experience in a large bistro, commercial kitchen, or high-volume hospitality environment advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Do Food Safely Certificate, or willingness to obtain
